Wikimedia:Content posting guidelines

This page provides guidance to individuals working with the Wikimedia Foundation on where they can post organization policies, procedures, and related official materials.

Quick reference

Notes

  1. Limited to non-wiki website related policies.
  2. Limited to financial documentation specific to internal operations.
  3. Limited to official policies approved by organization leadership, and not necessarily supporting materials or operations documentation.
  4. Limited to past campaigns and reports.
  5. While not consider duplicated content, several sites have information on the same topic - but specific to that site's audience.

Publicly available materials

Whenever possible, materials developed by the Wikimedia Foundation should be made publicly available both as a part of our commitment to transparency and to support the capacity building of other organizations - particularly Wikimedia movement affiliates.

Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki

Policies, procedures, and related guidelines which reflect the official position of the Wikimedia Foundation - such that editing by anyone of the materials may unintentionally change their intent - should be posted here on Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki (where editing of the materials will be limited). Materials posted on Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki should not be duplicated on either Meta-Wiki or Wikimedia Foundation Office Wiki - instead please make use of page redirects.
