ALantz (WMF)
edit this template Welcome to the Wikimedia Foundation wiki
Thanks for being here! This wiki does not exactly follow the same rules as the other Wikimedia projects, since it is not open to all for editing, and in case of disagreement, the organ of decision will be the WMF. A rule of thumb however is that if we gave you access, that means we trust you. So please, do not be shy in editing this site. There is ample work for everyone. :-)
Please create your userpage with a short biography and other introductory information about yourself and the work you do. You may want to use the {{user info}} template. Feel free to look at other user pages for examples. --Sj (talk) 00:02, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
Hi. The "Technology" anchor at Template:Staff and contractors needs to be removed (specifically {{anchor|Technology}}
). For reasons unknown, the page is now fully protected, so you'll need to make the edit.
I sent you a related e-mail about this page last Tuesday (July 7). I'm awaiting your reply. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:47, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
P.S. User:ALantz (WMF) has read "coming soon" for over a year now. :-)
CTCO ecc.
Hello, it would be useful to create Chief Talent & Culture Officer and Chargée d'Affaires pasting the info from [Wikimedia-l] Announcement about senior leadership of WMF's Talent & Culture team (so that we can fix typos and make them discoverable). --Nemo 22:03, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
Former staff user pages
Hello Anna
As you seem to be the handling the wiki side of offboarding process: I have noticed that sometimes on ex-employees user pages (both here and in meta) it is not clear that they no longer work for WMF (typically this is flagged by adding {{Former staff}} on them). I have gone ahead and added some templates to user pages where it seemed clear, but for example, according to [1], I would think that Maria no longer works for WMF, yet her email address is still active.
It would be beneficial if adding these tags was added as a step in the offboarding procedures by HR.
Additionally, I notice that most of these people had an account created on wikimediafoundation.org but only some people had it deactivated when they left, so you may be interested in considering if it was really intended to let them keep their wikimediafoundationwiki accounts (pinging JGulingan, who seems to have been handling these).
Best regards
Removal from Template:Staff and contractors
Hi,
I noticed I was removed from this page in January (https://wikimediafoundation.org/w/index.php?title=Template%3AStaff_and_contractors&type=revision&diff=112532&oldid=112524)
I'm still working for the Foundation and I semi-regularly edit on the Wikipedias with my staff account, so for transparency reasons I should be added back in until which time I am actually no longer working for the Foundation. I report to Ryan Kaldari if you need to ask in which section I should go (it's not clear to me, either.)
Cheers,
