About me
Tulsi Bhagat (Nepali: तुलसी भगत) is a Nepalese Wikimedian, Blogger, Internet and Social Activist. He was honored as "Featured Wikimedian of the Month" for May 2016 by Wikimedia India. He is known for initiating and leading awareness campaign about Wikipedia, entitled as Wiki Awareness Campaign in Nepal within the region.
He is an administrator on the Wikimedia Commons (verify), Meta-Wiki (verify), MediaWiki (verify), Maithili Wikipedia (verify) and Nepali Wikipedia (verify). He is engaged in Wikimedia movement since Oct. 2014.
Additionally, he is one of the members of the Movement communications group.
My work
As a member of SWMT, he fights with cross-wiki vandalism, spam, trolling and report it to Stewards. He has created over 643 articles on maiwiki and 171 articles on newiki in order to develop and improve its content. He has over 82,000 total edits on all Wikimedia projects, which made him one of the top Wikimedia contributors from Nepal. Moreover, He is the first Featured Wikimedian from Nepal who has taken personal challenges i.e. 100WikiDays and 7HumanRightsWikiDays and successfully completed it.
He is also active on Wikimedia Phabricator, where he generally fixes and patch Wikimedia bugs. Apart from his online contributions, he is also active in offline Wikimedia events and activities. In 2018, he started as a resource person involving with Mediawiki Awareness and Training in Indic Projects. he has played key role in organizing Wikicamp Nepal 2018 in Lahan. Moreover, He has guided, organized & taken part on various online & offline events such as Wikipedia Education Programmes, Wiki Loves Earth in Nepal, Women Edit-a-thon, Maithili Wikipedia Anniversary events, Wiki Loves Monuments. He has participated in WikiConference India 2016 and Train The Trainer 2018 as a full scholarship participant. He is awarded with full scholarship for Wikimedia Hackathon Prague 2019 by Wikimedia Czech Republic.
