Trevor Parscal
Director, Head of Editing, Wikimedia Foundation
“Wikitext is a poor IQ test.”
About me
I'm a father, husband, friend, musician, artist and engineer. I like writing and performing music, surfing, vintage Nintendo games and sushi.
My work
I joined WMF in 2008 as a Software Engineer and led many initiatives to improve user experience including the Vector skin, the WikiEditor wikitext editor, the ResourceLoader front-end resource packaging and delivery system and the VisualEditor WYSIWYM editor. I am now the Head of Editing, where I lead several teams, each focused on increasing the volume and quality of, and capacity for, contributions to Wikimedia's free-knowledge projects.
