Whereas, the Board of Trustees seeks to achieve the 2030 strategic direction and needs to add Trustees to achieve greater representation from emerging communities as well as incorporate relevant expertise to grow and scale a platform of the scope and scale needed to serve current and future Wikimedia projects;
Whereas, the Board Governance Committee (BGC) is considering what trustee selection processes, procedures, and tools are needed to meet the needs and goals of the Board, informed by the movement strategy recommendations, the Board's 2019 governance review, and the Foundation's medium-term plan; and
Whereas, the BGC has developed for community discussion several possible options for trustee selection processes,
Now, therefore, it is:
RESOLVED, that the Board approves Options A, B, and C from the BGC's proposal for community discussion.
