This privacy statement supplements the Wikimedia Foundation's Privacy Policy for Private Incident Reporting participants. We describe how we collect, use, share, store, and delete the information we receive from participants.

This project will help us support safety and inclusion, improve user experience, and increase the sustainability of our movement. We will use the information you provide to:

How we collect your information
Google Forms is used to collect responses or registrations; please read their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Google Meet is also used to host the meeting or stream the event; please read their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. QuickSurveys is also used to collect survey responses; please read its pages on Meta-Wiki and MediaWiki. To help us understand how and why our users visit the Wikimedia projects, we will link your survey responses to the additional data QuickSurveys collects, which is detailed below.
What information we collect
If you choose to participate, we will ask you to provide the following types of information:
- Responses to questions
- such as defined and free-form responses
- Contact information
- such as name, username, email address
- Recordings
- such as video, audio, photo
Sharing
How we share your information
Publishing: We will only publish non-identifying data (such as anonymous quotes, statistics, or other aggregate data). To facilitate this publishing, you agree to donate your copyrightable contributions to the public domain under the terms of Creative Commons Zero 1.0.
Access: Raw data will only be shared with Wikimedia staff, contractors, and service providers who need to process this information and are subject to non-disclosure obligations.
Other sharing: We may disclose any collected information when required by law, when we have your permission, when needed to protect our rights, privacy, safety, users, or the general public, and when necessary to enforce our Terms of Use or any other Wikimedia policy.
Protection
How long we keep your information
The raw data we collect will be deleted, de-identified, or aggregated within 90 days. See our data retention guidelines for more information.
