English: Sandy Beck Meadow National Nature Reserve At 0.4 ha, this is Natural England's smallest reserve. A surviving fragment of a flower rich, traditionally managed hay meadow. It has not been ploughed in living memory and so retains a wealth of wild flowers. Many common grasses are present and also notable flowers such as Great Burnet, Greater Butterfly Orchid, Wood Anemone and Common Bistort. Natural England manage the meadow by hay cutting and aftermath grazing.
